Little Drummer Boy

Our neighbor down the street, John, is a musician with a house full of musical instruments. On our first visit, Soren hopped right up on the drum set stool and went to town while John jammed next to him with the bongo's. John clued us in on to a local drum shop, Ellis Drum Shop, where Soren has now become a regular. Luckily the staff there love him and think it's awesome to have such a budding young drummer to hang out with. I played Santa on our last visit and picked Soren up a pair of his own bongo's. I see though that I need to start saving for the more elaborate drum sets, as that may be on next years Santa list.

Soren's Playdate With The Rain

CSA Wrap-Up

Our CSA season is coming to an end. I will miss all the fresh veggies and our weekly walk in the red wagon to the local garden store for the pick-up. Foxtail Farms had their Fall Harvest party last Saturday and Kai and Soren had a grand time chasing each other and picking out pumpkins.

Rockin' at the Cousins

Soren is blessed to have a plethora of cousins on the Lewandowski side of the family. One set of cousins has a basement the envy of all teenagers, chocked full with a air hockey table, a pool table, keyboards, guitar hero, DDR, etc. At a recent birthday bash Soren was more interested in strumming out a few chords with his papa and knocking around pool balls with his second cousin Tyler then eating any of the ice cream cake.

Campaign-a-Palooza

The DFL and Obama campaign sponsored a Campaign-a-Palooza event today in Longfellow, just a flew blocks from our house. Soren and I hung out with Senator Amy Klobuchar, did some rah-rahing, then made our own Obama Mama lawn sign.
