Dad & Kids Annual Camp Out 2011

The Greatest Camping Dad's are now on year 3 for their annual camping trip. They headed back to Baker Park and had the perfect weather for a September trip. Sevi got to hang out with momma this last time. Off he will go next year to join papa and big brother.

Books On Record

It doesn't get much better then to hang out with your good buddy Max and his super cool Fisher Price Record player. Max also has a grand collection of vintage books on record. Thanks to Max and his family, Soren is learning all about records. So if anyone has an old kids record player they want to re-gift, I know one little boy who would be thrilled beyond belief.

Thanks Alejandra for the great afternoons and pics. Soren is also sporting his other new favorite "vintage" find, the built in radio head set. The kind lady down the street gave it to Soren and in the last 2 days he has yet to take it off except to sleep and go to school. I can say, it does make for a quieter house, until he yells out the news updates.....

Eats!

Eat was the first word that Sevi learned to sign, it was also the first word he said. I think I now hear that word about 10 times a day, as it is by far his favorite activity.

Good-bye Lazy Days at the Cottage, The End of Summer Has Arrived

The boys and I have been spending the past two weeks up at the cottage, eking out the end of summer before the reality of September and work, preschool, and life schedules hit us. Below is a visual playback of the last two weeks.

One Fish, Two Fish

It is no secret that Randy and I are just not fishing folk. So when our dear friends Rick, Karen, Nora and Klara show up with poles and bait, we are thrilled to let them guide Soren through the fishing process. As you can see from the photos, Soren out-fished his teacher size wise. Thanks Rick for being a great fishing guide and to Karen for having a camera that had working batteries to document the whole affair.

With summer in full swing now we have been basking in the wonderful weather. I think we have been swimming everyday of July so far. Soren is in a new phase of giving thumbs up for good things, so here he is offering his vote for summer so far.


This year for the Pequot Lakes July 4th Kiddie Parade Soren and Sevi represented the Stars and Stripes!
